Comedians and Politics

Comedians and politics have been a matched set for as long as we can remember. Our politicians have been very kind to provide excellent material for the comedians lately and hearing the nightly comedian laments can be cathartic. After all, if we can’t laugh, how can we survive the otherwise depressing commentary in the visual and written media world?

Here’s my problem. I find that I am more regularly finding well thought out news within my comedy and less well thought out news from my media. Satire isn’t always funny when it strikes so close to real life frustration and the outlet that I used to escape reality has become a mainstay of information.
